Summary
We do not store your video. Every uploaded video and every extracted audio file is automatically deleted the moment your transcript is ready — usually within seconds. Transcripts are private to your account and remain until you delete them.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and (if you use email/password sign-in) a hashed password. If you sign in with Google we store your Google profile email, name, and identifier.
- Videos you upload: temporarily, only while we transcribe them.
- Transcripts: saved to your private history until you delete them.
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor. We never see your card number.
- Usage data: minimal analytics (page views, error logs) to keep the service running.
How we process videos
When you upload a video, we save it briefly to our server, extract the audio, send the audio to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription, and then delete both the video and the extracted audio. The full lifecycle is measured in seconds. If a transcription fails, the temporary files are automatically purged within two hours regardless.
Trial & billing
Your account starts with a 3-day free Shorts trial. If you choose to continue, you are billed $5/month via our payment processor. Cancel anytime — you keep access until the end of your paid period.
Transcript retention
Transcripts are stored in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting a transcript is immediate and irreversible.
