1. Agreement

By creating a VidScriptly account or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service

VidScriptly is an AI-powered service that accepts a video file you upload and returns a text transcript. We use OpenAI Whisper for speech recognition. You can access the service through our website at any modern browser.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the service. Keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.

4. Your content

You retain full ownership of every video you upload and every transcript we produce. We do not claim any rights over your content. You grant us a limited, revocable license to process the video for the sole purpose of returning a transcript to you.

5. Acceptable use

Don't upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to transcribe. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Video handling

We delete the uploaded video and extracted audio automatically as soon as your transcript is ready — usually within seconds. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Payments

The service costs $5 per month after a 3-day free Shorts trial. Billing is handled by our payment processor. See the Subscription Terms.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. See the Cancellation Policy.

9. Disclaimers

Transcripts are AI-generated and may contain errors. The service is provided "as is". We disclaim all warranties to the extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email and on the site.
